2026-27 Student Supply List

This is a list of supplies that pretty much every student at Cresthill will need to attend to and have in hand in order to start the 26-27 school year well. Some teachers and programs require additional materials, resources, and supplies -- stay tuned for more information on that as we get closer to the start of the school year.

Please note, along with the general supplies, your student will need to have a computer device as CMS is a 1:1 school. Please note the guidance, suggestions, and options along the lines of our 1:1 computer program here at Cresthill by visiting our "1:1 Device and BYOD Program" page.

First Day of School Moving to Thursday, August13 (for 6th and 7th grade) and Friday, August 14th for all grades (including 8th)!

Dear Cresthill Middle School Community,

Summer is in full swing and so is the work at your school to get ready to welcome students for the 2026-2027 school year! We can’t wait to welcome sixth graders as they join the Cresthill Middle School community!

Construction is underway to get the building ready for additional students. However, the construction schedule is very tight (it is currently expected to be finished around August 6). As we know all too well construction delays are always a strong possibility. If anything gets delayed with construction, permitting, inspections, etc. we could be looking at a last minute change to the first day of the school year. Therefore, in order to make sure we are ready for the new school year and to ensure families have plenty of time to plan, we are proactively moving the first day of school for 6th and 7th graders to Thursday, August 13. The first day of school for 8th graders will be Friday, August 14.

This slight delay to the start of the school year will help ensure that construction is finished and your school is ready to welcome students to the 2026-2027 school year. This also gives school staff a bit more time to move into their new and updated spaces, and get settled and ready for the new school year.

As we announced earlier this year, beginning in August 2026, DCSD is implementing dedicated Professional Learning Communities (PLC) time for our teachers. This means that DCSD elementary and middle schools will have a 45-minute delayed start every Friday. This is already occurring in DCSD’s high schools.
